The Prospects page is home base for the players your organization is following. From here you can search and filter your prospects, track the ones you want to keep an eye on, see how many looks you have on each, and jump to their upcoming games.
Finding a Prospect
Open the menu and tap Prospects.
Search by name, or tap Filters to narrow the list.
Each card shows the prospect's position, school, grade, draft year, and class. A star means you're tracking them, and a video icon means they have video.
You can filter by draft year, grade, position, class, level, region and scout, D1 conference, and state. Two switches are especially handy:
Tracked prospects only — just the prospects you're tracking.
Prospects with no looks — prospects you haven't seen yet.
Save any combination with Save New so you can pull it up again in one tap.
The Prospect Page
Tap any prospect to open their page. Along the top, you'll find their Details, Games, Videos, and Events. On Details:
Tracked — turn this on to track the prospect.
Looks — how many times you've seen them.
Prospect Owner — the scout responsible for this prospect.
Teams — the teams they play for.
Comments — notes from your staff. Tap Add to leave one.
Coverage — the games and events where they've been seen.
Tap the ⋯ menu in the upper-right to create a New Event, Upload Video, or Edit Prospect.
Tracking a Prospect
Tracking keeps the prospects you care about front and center. Once you track a prospect, you can use the Tracked prospects only filter on the Games page to see just the games they're in.
Coordinators can also track prospects on a scout's behalf from the prospect coverage page in the web app, and set them as High, Medium, or Low priority. If your coordinator has assigned you targets, try saying "Show me all the games for my tracked high prospects" with AI Search.
How Looks Are Counted
ONIT counts a look on a prospect for you automatically when:
Games — the prospect has an active status in a game, and that game is confirmed on your itinerary. The look is counted once the game is over.
Events — the prospect is listed under Prospects attending, and the event is confirmed on your itinerary.
A position player is active when they're starting. A pitcher is active when they're Starting, Starting – Limited Innings, or Pen – Definitely Throwing. To learn more, see Setting Prospect Game Status.
A Prospect's Games
On the Games tab, each game shows the prospect's status, who set it, and when. From there you can:
Tap Status to update their status for that game.
Tap Attend to add the game to your itinerary, then Confirm once you're set.
Tap Details to open the game.
