A prospect's game status tells everyone in your organization whether that prospect is expected to play, and for pitchers, whether they're expected to throw. Keeping statuses up to date is one of the most valuable things you can do in ONIT, because statuses decide which games light up green, which games count toward a look, and what your teammates see when they plan their week.
Setting a Status
Open a prospect and tap the Games tab.
Find the game and tap Status.
Pick the status that fits. Tap Clear status to remove it.
Each game shows the current status along with who set it and when, so you always know how fresh the information is.
Default Statuses
Every prospect starts each game with a default status, so you only need to change it when something's different:
Position players — default to Starting.
Starting pitchers — default to Not Throwing.
Relievers — default to Pen – Not Guaranteed to Throw.
Pitcher statuses are the ones scouts update most often. When you hear who's on the mound, set it so your whole organization knows.

Active Statuses and Green
Some statuses count as active, meaning the prospect is expected to be on the field where you can see them:
A position player who is Starting.
A pitcher who is Starting, Starting – Limited Innings, or Pen – Definitely Throwing.
Active pitchers show up in bright green throughout ONIT, so you can spot a game with an arm worth seeing at a glance.
Out for the Season
When you set a prospect to Injured, ONIT asks whether they're out for the rest of the season:
Mark Out — sets the prospect to Injured for every remaining game this season, so you don't have to update each one.
No, just update status — changes only this game.
How Statuses Affect Looks
ONIT counts a look on a prospect when they have an active status in a game that's confirmed on your itinerary, once that game is over. If a prospect's status isn't active, that game won't count as a look, which is another reason to keep statuses current.
