Creating a Game or Event

Add your own games and events, such as showcases, tournaments, and workouts, from the ONIT app.

Written by Tyler Baker

Most games are already in ONIT, but you can add your own anytime. Create a game for a standard Team A vs. Team B matchup. Create an event for anything else, such as a showcase, a big tournament where you don't want to add every game, a high school workout, or a fall event. Events are especially common in International mode, where much of the scouting happens at agent showcases and workouts.

Where to Start

  • Games page — tap the orange +, then choose Create Game or Create Event.

  • Itinerary — tap the orange + to create an event.

  • A prospect's page — tap the ⋯ menu in the upper-right, then New Event.

  • A team's page — on the Games tab, tap Add Game.

Creating a Game

  1. Under Matchup, choose the Away team and Home team. Tap AT between them to swap the two.

  2. Under Venue, add a field name if you'd like. The location fills in once you choose a home team.

  3. Under When, choose the date and time, or turn on TBD if the time isn't set yet.

  4. Under Options, turn on Double header or Neutral site if they apply.

  5. Tap Save.

Creating an Event

  1. Under Visibility, choose who can see it:

    • Visible on Games + Itinerary — your whole organization can find it on the Games page and the Itinerary.

    • Visible on Itinerary Only — it shows on the Itinerary but stays off the Games page.

  2. Under Details, enter a title, location, and address, plus any extra information.

  3. Under When, choose Specific time, All day, or Time TBD, then set the start and end dates.

  4. Under Attendees, add any other scouts who are going.

  5. Under Scouting, add the Teams and Prospects attending. In International mode, you can also add Agents.

  6. Under Attachments, tap Upload to add a schedule, roster, or any other PDF, image, or document.

  7. Tap Save event.

Prospects listed under Prospects attending are the ones ONIT counts looks for once the event is confirmed on your itinerary, so add the prospects you actually saw.
