Navigating ONIT and Switching Modes

Find your way around the ONIT app and switch between Amateur, Pro, and International mode.

Written by Tyler Baker

ONIT works across three scouting environments: Amateur, Pro, and International. Each one has its own games, teams, and players, while your itinerary stays the same no matter which mode you're in. This article covers the main menu, how to switch modes, and what's different in each.

The Main Menu

Tap the menu icon in the upper-left of any screen to get around the app:

  • Dashboard — your day at a glance, including Double Ups in Amateur mode and the week ahead.

  • Notifications — your alerts and the settings that control them.

  • Teams — search any team and see its schedule and roster.

  • Prospects (or Players in Pro mode) — search, filter, and track the players you're following.

  • Games — find games in list or map view, including games near any location.

  • Itinerary — where you're going, and where the rest of your staff is going.

  • Settings — your account, calendar sync, language, appearance, and support.

In International mode, you'll also see Agents.

Switching Modes

  1. Tap the menu icon in the upper-left.

  2. At the bottom of the menu, tap the dropdown under Mode.

  3. Choose Amateur, Pro, or International.

Your current mode always shows next to the menu icon as AMAT, PRO, or INT. ONIT opens in your default mode, and the modes you can switch to are based on your organization's permissions. If you don't see a mode you expect, reach out to your ONIT admin.

What's Different in Each Mode

  • Amateur — Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, NAIA, JUCO, high school, travel ball, and summer leagues. You'll see your organization's prospects, along with Double Ups on your Dashboard.

  • Pro — every Major League club and its affiliates, plus international pro leagues like NPB, KBO, and CPBL. Rosters update automatically, so this mode shows players.

  • International — the international pro leagues, plus the amateur event scene, largely in Latin America. You'll see your organization's prospects and the agents they're connected to.

Your Itinerary Works in Every Mode

Your itinerary is shared across all three modes. A Pro game you add shows up right alongside your Amateur games, so you always have one complete picture of where you're headed.

Need a Hand?

If you can't find something or don't have access to a mode you need, open the menu, tap Settings, and tap Email support, and we'll get you sorted out.
